Kiewit, Eurovia and VINCI join forces to expand the Confederation Line of Ottawa towards both the western and eastern districts.

Our goal? Improving the mobility and connectivity of the city of Ottawa, thereby improving the mobility enhancing the lives of thousands of residents while reducing the region's carbon footprint

Project Overview:

  • 27.5 kilometers of LRT Infrastructure: the extension involves the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 kilometers of light rail transit (LRT) tracks, which will extend the Confederation Line to the west and east of the city of Ottawa.
  • Diverse Structures: You will have the opportunity to work on a range of structures, including 4 kilometers of covered trench tracks, 20 structures, 16 stations (including one underground and one elevated), as well as a maintenance center and associated systems.

We are looking for Field Engineers V.I.E.  F/M who will be excited to contribute to this project that will make history in the city.

What you can expect as a Field Engineer on the OLRT project ?

As part of the VINCI Construction teams (Dodin/Janin/Eurovia Québec), you will play a key role in the success of planning, organizing, and implementing project engineering & project controls tasks, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and more.   

Get ready to: 

  • Manage schedules and coordinate subcontractors on your perimeter (conduct and administer overall job planning and programming);                 
  • Define and ensure the supply of material needs of your perimeter;
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure the smooth running of the work and propose corrective actions and implementing them once validated by your manager
  • Participate in the financial management of the project, monitor daily costs of all time-dependent elements on the project and implications;                                     
  • Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required. 
  • Enhance coordination between your work zone and the different other work zones adjacent
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and requirements related to Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environment.

Temporary work designs will include shoring, falsework, concrete formwork, personnel access platforms and hoisting rigging.

Also note that you might need to travel and relocate during your mission if needed.
