This role sits within our Buildings team, working three days a week out of our Queensview office. You’ll collaborate with seasoned engineers on a wide range of building systems projects across commercial, residential, institutional, and retail sectors—applying your design expertise in plumbing, drainage, HVAC, and fire protection to shape sustainable, high‑performing environments.
Your Impact
- Deliver design, calculations, and technical support for fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and controls systems.
- Carry out engineering studies and assessments, translating insights into clear, actionable reports.
- Prepare and integrate markups into working CAD or Revit MEP drawings.
- Compile and develop project‑specific technical specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout all project phases.
- Manage deadlines and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Review shop drawings and contractor RFIs during construction.
- Support contract administration by preparing change notices, change orders, and payment certificates.
- Perform site surveys and routine site reviews in accordance with OBC requirements.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Certified Technician (CTech) minimum; C.E.T. strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, NFPA, ASHRAE, and CSA standards.
- Proficient with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
- Comfortable using MS Office, Excel, and HVAC load analysis tools such as HAP.
- Self‑driven, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects.
- Confident working independently or in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to obtain PSPC Reliability clearance.

Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $89,800 – $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
