This job posting is being posted for two open full-time positions.



POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Historic Metal Restoration Technician ensures worksites are clean and safe, uses drills, and other power tools, and provides assistance with heavy lifting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES

  

  1. Operates equipment, such as grinders, drills, polishers and other power and hand tools.
  2. Moves materials to the worksite and ensures all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.
  3. Assembles steel windows, etc.
  4. Performs work according to all health and safety company rules.
  5. Ensures tasks are completed to deadlines.
  6. Other duties as may be assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education:

  • There are no specific education requirements.


Other Experience or Training:

  • Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Ability to follow instructions Read and interpret construction drawings


Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient written and verbal skills in English.
  • Ability to meet schedule deadlines, while maintaining highest standard of quality
  • Ability to get to work for regular and overtime hours (when scheduled or required)
  • Must have good manual (hand) dexterity.
  • Must have a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Must be familiar with, and able to use a variety of power and hand tools.
  • Be motivated to expand their skill set and increase their level of expertise.
  • Can lift, carry, move up to 26kg/57lbs without assistance and up to 34kg/75lbs with assistance.
  • Must have a friendly and great service-oriented demeanor.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel for work required.
  • Must be clean-shaven when required to be able to wear a fitted respirator up to eight hours per day.
  • Able to obtain Public Works security clearance, including fingerprinting and a criminal record check.
